About
Keith Stubbs
I am Keith Stubbs, a seasoned baseball advisor with over 30 years of experience in developing young talent. Growing up in Newport News, Virginia, I excelled in both football and baseball and received a music scholarship to Hampton University, where I also faced the challenges of being a college athlete.
My coaching career began in Washington, D.C., at institutions like Maret School and Nationally Ranked Riverdale Baptist School in Prince Goerge’s County, Maryland. I played a pivotal role in Major League Baseball’s Reviving Baseball in Inner Cities (RBI) Program. As the director of the DC RBI program, we produced 12 professional players and helped over 300 secure college placement and scholarships. I was awarded an opportunity to attend Major League's Baseball Scout Development Program.
As an area scout for the Philadelphia Phillies 19 years and Anaheim Angels 2 years, I focused on discovering talent in Maryland, D.C., and Virginia. I also served as the Director of On-Field Sessions for Baseball Factory and established the Mid-Atlantic Philadelphia Phillies Scout Team, providing critical exposure for young athletes.
In addition to my scouting work, I have extensive college coaching experience at Prince George's Community College and Howard University, as well as volunteering at Catholic University. My involvement with the National Scout Report and the Cal Ripken Sr Foundation, where I developed a college recruitment showcase program, further enriches my background.
In recent years, I transitioned away from baseball to work with SkillShow, a leading provider of professional videos for aspiring athletes. I’m now excited to take on a new role as an advisor with SportsForce, where I can leverage my diverse experiences to guide young athletes in their journeys.
I also traveled to Panama to promote academic achievement through sports. Currently, I co-founded "Field of Dreams," an after-school program in Southeast Washington, D.C., dedicated to mentoring underserved youth. My mission is to empower aspiring athletes, guiding them through the complexities of college recruiting while making a positive impact in their communities.
